This 10″ standard post carbon cartridge works well at the end of a multi‑stage purification system, and it usually follows sediment and pre‑carbon stages for best results. In addition, it helps protect sensitive downstream components such as RO membranes by reducing any leftover chemicals before the final output.
How It Works in a Filtration System
First, water travels through earlier filters like sediment and pre‑carbon cartridges. Then, the post-carbon water filter adsorbs remaining tastes and odors. Because the carbon media has a large internal surface area, it can attract and hold dissolved contaminants effectively.
