Description

Puritech 0.2-2 GPM Flow Meter – Precise Low-Flow Measurement

The Puritech 0.2-2 GPM flow meter is specifically designed for water-treatment systems with very low flow demand. Because it reads as low as 0.2 GPM, it works well in RO permeate lines, dosing loops, or other controlled flow circuits. Moreover, the compact design and reliable construction give you consistent, long-term flow tracking — so you can monitor system performance, detect anomalies, and optimize water usage.

Key Features

  • Flow Range: Measures between 0.2 and 2 GPM, which is ideal for low-flow water systems.
  • 1/2″ Port (typical): Compatible with standard small-bore plumbing in water-treatment setups.
  • Durable Construction: Built to withstand regular water flow and pressure, using materials that ensure longevity under normal treatment conditions.
  • Easy-to-Read Scale: Usually features a variable-area / rotameter-style float or piston, making flow readily visible. (Similar design to other 0.2-2 GPM meters)
  • Low Pressure Drop: Designed so it doesn’t restrict flow significantly, which is important for sensitive systems.
  • Wide Use-Case Range: Works with clean water and low-velocity flows.

Benefits

  1. Accurate Monitoring at Low Flow: Because it measures down to 0.2 GPM, you can track flow even in slow systems.
  2. Optimize RO Performance: Use it on RO permeate or brine lines to verify actual flow versus expectations.
  3. Prevent Pump Damage: Monitoring flow helps you detect dry-run or low-flow conditions before they become a problem.
  4. Water Efficiency: By knowing exact flow rates, you can fine-tune your system to avoid wasting water.
  5. Simple & Robust: Mechanical flow meters like this are easy to maintain and don’t rely on electronics.

Ideal Applications

  • RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems — especially for measuring permeate or reject flows
  • Filter systems (carbon, sediment) with low flow demand
  • Chemical dosing systems or low-flow loops
  • Water treatment systems in labs, small homes, or cabins
